Low potassium in a patient on digoxin

The one line: low K⁺ means more digoxin sticks, so a normal level can still be toxic.

Digoxin and potassium compete for the same pump. Potassium drops, digoxin takes its place, and you get nausea, yellow halos, bradycardia. That's why furosemide plus digoxin shows up on the exam so often.

Is the diagnostic really free?
