Who to ask
Science professor (especially A&P). Supervisor in healthcare setting (CNA job, volunteer). NOT family. NOT family doctor unless you've worked for them.
How to ask
In person if possible. Email with specific reason. Give 4-6 weeks notice. Provide resume, personal statement draft, deadline, and submission details.
Strong letter elements
Specific examples of your work. Concrete strengths. Comparison to other students they've recommended. Recommendation level (high).
