Second Bachelor's (ABSN) vs Direct-Entry MSN

Two options for non-nursing degree holders. Cost vs trajectory.

Both lead to RN. Different end states and costs.

ABSN

Stops at BSN. Fastest entry to bedside. $40K-90K. 12-16 months.

Direct-Entry MSN

BSN-equivalent + MSN. Longer (2-3 years). More expensive ($60K-130K). Sets up for APRN role.

How to choose

Want to start working as RN ASAP: ABSN. Definitely want APRN role: direct-entry MSN. Unsure: ABSN (you can always do MSN later).
